The Boox Go Color 7 is a 7″ color e-reader from Boox.
It was launched in tandem with the Boox Go 10.3 (10.3″ monochrome writing tablet). The theme with Boox’s new ‘Go‘ range seems to focus on a thinner, lightweight, and streamlined design.
The Go Color 7 features a color Kaleido 3 screen and page turn buttons, along with Boox’s usual beefy hardware specs and features (2.4GHz CPU, 4Gb RAm, 64Gb storage, frontlight, speakers, microphone, g-sensor, and MicroSD card slot).
However, it does not have a dedicated GPU or Boox Super Refresh (BSR), so some apps may have poorer performance than BSR-enable alternatives.
It is an e-reader (so no stylus input), and although it is billed as being water-repellent, this should not be confused with being waterproof – it has no IPX rating.
It is available for pre-order from the Boox Store for $249.99USD or the Boox Euro Store for €279.99 and is due to be shipped around the end of June.
